I feel very privileged to have a therapy space right in the heart of the beautiful, historic Market Town of Arundel, seat of the Duke of Norfolk. Dating back to medieval times, Arundel sits in the shadow of the famous Castle, surrounded by the River Arun and the South Downs. I still catch my breath when I drive around the top of Crossbush Hill and see Arundel Castle and the Cathedral ahead.
Several of my clients visit me for hypnotherapy sessions and then meet up with friends and family in one of the many tearooms, bistros and restaurants. One client visited for a stopping smoking session during a weekend trip to Arundel! A couple of clients have travelled in from neighbouring Hampshire and made a day trip of visiting Arundel.
Most of the shops and boutiques are independent, and, if you enjoy browsing antique shops, look no further…the High Street is packed with antique shops, most of which are housed in converted medieval buildings. Nearby we have the Wetlands.
Arundel has such a time-stood-still appeal that, when the film “Wicked Little Letters” (a true account of an event that took place in nearby Littlehampton during the 1920s) was shot, Arundel High Street and surrounding Streets were the backdrop for the outside scenes.
There are a couple of large car parks within easy walking distance – by the outside lido, and in Mill Road, at the base of the Castle. Bus no. 9 runs from Littlehampton to the base of the steep High Street, where my therapy space is located less than five minutes walk away.
