Currently in the UK hypnotherapy is not regulated; anybody can do a short online course and set themselves up as a hypnotherapist. Reputable hypnotherapists will have undertaken classroom training and many practice hours, and will be Members of Hypnotherapy Bodies with strict codes of ethics.
